Bechtel Energy has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join our Pluto Train 2 project, based in Karratha and working FIFO.

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility.

What you will bring:

Assigned to the Construction organization as a Survey Engineer, you will be responsible for providing field and office support as required to the construction survey team.

You will be interpreting design drawings and specifications to determine associated commodities and equipment locations, and providing direction and supervision to your assigned field survey team in support of the civil, structural, mechanical, and piping installations in the work area.

About you:

You will have an Engineering/Technical degree and at least 3 years' experience in heavy construction/industrial surveying, with modern instruments and software, with at least 1 years' supervisorial experience or 9 years' experience (in lieu of a degree), with at least 2 years' supervisorial experience

Your experience will include earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural steel, mechanical, and piping, etc. installation layout and verification.

Demonstrated proficiency with:

• 3D Survey CAD software, including the ability to perform and check digital computations
• Robotic Total Stations, Digital Levels & GNSS survey systems
• Trimble survey equipment and Access field software
• Intermediate level use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Network Least Square Adjustment software

- heavy equipment Machine Control technology

• UAV (Drones).

• The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a nonsmoking site and no tobacco products i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco are permitted to be brought to the site._

This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
