MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT


To ensure the effective management and control of finances through timely and accurate financial planning, budgeting, accounting and reporting; to ensure compliance with Swiss legal requirements as a result of head office location.

To provide guidance and support to the NET, the Network and Practice Leaders on finance related matters.

Leads and steers the Finance Community of Practice, and provides best practice guidance and specialist financial support to Network finance practitioners.


MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Processing expense claims, supplier invoices and other payment requests and ensuring

their compliance with WWF International policies and procedures, and offering training when

needed. Acts as Super-user for the Oracle i-Expenses module to WWF International

country offices.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Auditing and processing expense reports in Oracle ERP system in accordance with
the travel & expense policy;

  • Focal point for travelling and travelrelated tools, such as TRF integration or the
Global travel agency project;

  • Administration and reconciliation of company credit cards, acting as contact person for
WWF corporate credit cards;

  • Assessing, verifying and executing regular payment runs for WWF International;
  • Initiate updates of the travel and expenses policy and related policies;
  • Responsibility for dedicated AP accounts including accounts reconciliations;
  • Verifying and processing supplier invoices, advance payments and prepayments;
  • Providing training for new joiners on Travel and Expenses policy, iExpenses, and
supports regular updates of the relevant Operations Accounting related parts of the

Finance website;

  • Acting as backup for the Accountant, Accounts Payables;
  • Carrying out other duties, as and when required, assisting with ad hoc projects and
tasks as requested by Manager, Treasury & Operations Accounting.

PROFILE
Required Qualifications

  • A university degree in finance / accounting or minimum a commercial diploma or
equivalent, possibly with an emphasis on Accounting and Finance (e.g.

"Handelsakademie", commercial school, Bachelor Economics / Accounting);

  • A minimum of three years' experience in finance & administration in a multicultural
environment.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required to work in an
organisation with a wide range of staff from different cultures and functions;

  • The position demands initiative, attention to detail, flexibility and strong communication
skills;

  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, management information systems, Oracle
and financial reporting systems (Noetix) an advantage;
