Internship - Web and Outreach Coordination

The internship aims to support the initiatives to enhance the visibility of the Regulatory Infrastructure and Transport Safety Section, allowing hands-on experience in outreach and communication. The role offers the chance to develop skills in creating, managing, and promoting content for showcasing the activities of the Regulatory Infrastructure and Transport Safety Section.

Responsibilities / Expected Outcomes

  • Assist in organizing and promoting online webinars
  • Aid in gathering statistics and contributing to the evaluation of webinar impact in Member States
  • Assist in the creation and management of content for the Regulatory Infrastructure and Transport Safety Section on the IAEA website, social media platforms, and other relevant radiation safety webpages
  • Support the design of web-based educational activities in radiation protection and associated outreach materials in multiple languages
  • Assist in generating content to promote the initiatives, events, and publications of the Radiation Safety and Monitoring Section

Requirements and Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, International Relations, or a related field
  • Proficiency in social media is preferred
  • Ability to understand technical concepts like radiation protection is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite tools (e.g., Photoshop, Premier Pro, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline is a plus

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum age of 20 and completion of at least three years of university studies towards a first degree
  • Applications accepted within one year of completing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree
  • No prior participation in the IAEA's internship program
  • Proficient in written and spoken English; fluency in an additional IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, or Russian) is beneficial
  • Submission of two signed recommendation letters required with the application
