About The Role:

As Senior Finance Manager - Austria you will lead the Austrian finance function, based in Vienna.


In this role, you will have your finger on the pulse of our KPIs, delivering timely performance information and providing insightful analyses.

As a key business partner to all market functions (e.g. Leadership Team, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and HR), you will drive both commercial actions and process improvement initiatives and support your stakeholders in reaching their business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the definition of the long term market & financial strategy (35yr)
  • Leading a financial agenda that balances short and medium term profit and cash delivery with long term sustainable growth and brand health
  • Leading financial performance by establishing analytical capability and support that provides category and market intelligence
  • Providing insight on business health by devising and holding the business to key financial and nonfinancial performance measures
  • Providing clarity on and insight into the category outlook by leading short, medium and long term business planning
  • Supporting the commercial development of the category by bringing a clear financial lens to ranging, pricing and product decisions and by driving transparency in volume performance, margin management, BBI effectiveness and cost control
  • Optimizing the business model, including by internally and externally benchmarking category and market performance
  • Driving strong financial management by leading working capital management through the sales and operational planning forums, governing resource allocation, sponsoring cost initiatives (including product cost, capex, brand building and central costs) and driving a culture of generating strong financial returns and value for money
  • Develop best practices on common analytical tasks and embed into all Austria strategy processes
  • Responsibility & key counterpart for local audit processes

About You:

  • Min 6 years experience of working in a high performing matrix organisation
  • Commercial Finance experience
  • People management experience
  • Expert in local law & accounting principles
  • Evidence of budget control and can demonstrate financial expertise
  • Working knowledge of the retail industry, either with an electrical manufacturer or other
  • University Degree
