Senior FC&C Specialist (f/m/d), Kundl, Tyrol, Austria


3 That is the number of Novartis technology platforms that you will work with alongside control owners with the aim of helping them to understand control requirements and finding practical implementation solutions.

You will provide support in the implementation of Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) controls in operations of Novartis in Austria.

To assist Novartis management in complete, accurate and reliable Financial Reporting and to ensure Novartis meets all relevant legal requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley US legislation over internal controls (SOX404).

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and advice to management to further develop and implement internal control procedures
  • Establish and implement proactive control mechanisms
  • Review and critically assess business processes in the organization looking for inefficiencies/waste of resources
  • Proactively support implementation of standard processes as defined in the global blueprints (Finance Core) and monitor adherence. Escalate any exceptions to the standards
  • Monitor, align and improve compliance embedded in business process
  • Help to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) throughout the organization in order to ensure consistent levels of quality and coherent output, while meeting the required control standards
  • Provide all required NFCM deliverables according to the communicated schedules
  • Ensuring risks are addressed by adequate controls per internal customer and in line with legal requirements

Minimum requirements

What you'll bring to the role:

Essential:

  • University Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • More than two years' experience of working in complex matrix organizations in Finance & Administration
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written German & English)
  • Preference for experience in compliance, internal or external audit with a focus on financial reviews
  • Project management skills
  • Strong analytical mindset

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement.

For this position the minimum salary is €63,600 per year (on a full-time basis).

In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
