About the Role
As a Senior Engineer on our Web Frontend SDK team, you'll be part of a collaborative group of Software Engineers responsible for managing the client-infrastructure operations of Sentry. This involves constructing and maintaining our SDKs for sending events to the Sentry backend. Additionally, you will play a key role in designing and advancing the APIs utilized for event ingestion into the backend.

Attend meetings to refine the definition of JavaScript Participate in OpenTelemetry SIG meetings to enhance the open standard Collaborate with the client infrastructure team to enhance and develop our JavaScript SDKs Work alongside Infrastructure and SRE teams to create scalable solutions (given that we process over a billion events daily) Create unit and integration tests to ensure the accuracy of your work, in addition to providing comprehensive documentation to guide both colleagues and customers Support Customer Operations in resolving live customer issues that arise from bugs in production caused by the SDKsYou'll love this job if you

8+ years experience as a Software Engineer or in a related role (e.g. web developer, SDK engineer) Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript & Deep experience with Experience in maintaining Open Source software Strong written and verbal English communication skills Reside in the Vienna, Austria area or be willing to relocate Kindly note the following: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This is a full-time roleWe are required by law to state the minimum annual wage of EUR 53,592 gross for this position, as per the respective collective agreement (IT-KV). The salary offered by Sentry is adjusted based on the current market conditions, with a starting point of EUR 95,000 gross annually.
A successful candidate will be eligible for participation in Sentry's employee benefit plans/programs applicable to their role (such as incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage).
