The Red Bull Athlete Performance Center (APC) is an athlete accelerator, enabling world class athletes to become outstanding performers within a highly innovative environment and a powerful global network of specialists.

The main purpose of the Performance Director Europe is to provide strategic leadership to the dynamic and interdisciplinary APC performance team - in biomechanics, exercise physiology, nutrition, strength & conditioning in coordination with the Performance Director Americas and in line with the Red Bull performance entities. Additionally, you monitor, core aspects of the performance programs such as training
- and competition activity, delivery of athlete support, and development of team culture and training environment, ensuring that key objectives are being met and having the desired impact.

LEAD OF PERFORMANCE PROGRAM


You design and implement strategies to enable performance teams to use research-based insights and inspiration for most efficient approaches to enable athletes to achieve new levels of performance - or to return quicker to excellence after injury or set-back.


You monitor sport-science based expertise and technical competencies of staff in conceptual and methodological approaches, and technology in regard to performance assessments and acceleration programs.


You lead, drive and implement a technical and interpersonal knowledge management between all stakeholders within our cross-functional matrix organization with Red Bull APC entities, Red Bull Soccer teams and other worldclass performance teams.

You are an active member of the global APC leadership team collectively working on strategic goals.

You co-develop and oversee research-based staff education programs and support the creation of coach and athlete focused education resources.

GLOBAL NETWORK
You develop and maintain trusting and productive relationships with a global network in the world of high performance.


You nurture uniform and collaborative performance interactions with all Red Bull APC entities, (European) Red Bull soccer teams and other related performance teams (e.g.

Formula 1, MotoGP)


A key success factor is your work towards enhanced integration at a global level with the APC Performance Director Americas and the APC Medical Director.


PERFORMANCE FRAMEWORK


You combine the different elements of performance to achieve results, refining plans to create the best conditions for success and spotting any new opportunities for performance gain.


You enable and encourage people and organisation to look outwards and into the future, taking innovative approaches to identifying potential competitive advantage opportunities (or threats) on behalf of the high performance system.


You optimize the organizational framework of an athlete visit and performance projects - from first contact enquiry, workflows during an athlete stay to concluding an athlete visit with an aggregated feedback and creating reports and follow ups.


You guide the performance team to deliver assessment results in a meaningful way, implement realistic action plans and a follow up process.

You oversee technology procurement and implementation across all departments and facility optimization


You are a partner to the Global Performance Data team providing input on performance data, reporting and visualization to all relevant parties.


Qualifications:

- >15 years of experience of working with elite athletes, coaches and technical staff from both team and individual sports in high performance environments.

  • Expertise and experience with software and hardware technologies used in sports environments.
  • Advanced operational knowledge of the fundamental requirements associated with successfully operating within a world class sporting environment.
  • Experience and evidence of developing and implementing change strategies that provide competitive advantages to sporting systems through innovative and creative solutions.
  • Demonstrating interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and open mindedness with a good sense of humor and experience in building effective teams.
  • Managing complexity, ability going to the heart of issues and to simplify. Good problem solver and perseverance.
  • Analytical and technical skills, knowledge in terms of high performance sports. Business acumen, innovation management, learning on the fly.
