Job Description

Your Role – Daily Responsibilities

Collaborate with the project planning team on infrastructure projects like hydropower plants, water and road tunnels and underground structures. Perform 2D/3D calculations for various geotechnical tasks (underground structures like tunnels and caverns, slope stabilization, deep excavations, ground improvements, dam structures, etc.), as well as normative verifications and structural designs. After an initial training period, work independently as a Geotechnical / Rock Mechanical / Tunneling Engineer within interdisciplinary and international teams. Provide on-site support (national and international). Participate and lead consultation meetings, construction, and coordination sessions. Advance into other specialized areas (, project management, etc.) after establishing a strong foundation in geotechnics, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

Your Profile – What We Expect

Completion of a Master's or degree from a university (Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnics or equivalent) and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. In-depth knowledge of geotechnical modeling and calculations (FEM, FDM, LEM, etc.). Interest in infrastructure planning and a strong technical understanding with a keen interest in solving complex technical problems. Proficiency in GeoStudio - 2D, Diana FEA - 3D, and RocScience (RS2, RS3, etc.) software is advantageous. Basic knowledge of CAD planning or 3D planning is a plus. Fluency in English and proficiency in German, both written and spoken, with an interest in working on international project teams (additional foreign language skills are a plus). Willingness to travel and communicate via virtual media. Confident and customer-oriented demeanor with strong communication skills. Team spirit, reliability, independence, commitment, and precision.
