Consultant - Networks Management (NSOC-NMPS)

Reporting to the SH-NMPS and working as part of the Project Management Group for Global Nuclear Safety and Security Network (GNSSN) and its associated networks, the Consultant will provide technical expertise in project management when it comes to the coordination of work carried out for implementation of network activities and development of capacity building initiatives. The Consultant will provide technical advice and inputs on all phases of project implementation in order to support the team to deliver the outputs within the expected parameters.

Functions / Key Results Expected

Develop of the workplan for the associated networks of GNSSN; support implementation and monitoring of the networks' activities. Provide technical expertise in the planning, development and monitoring of capacity building activities in close coordination with technical divisions and other technical departments, as well as support the implementation of these projects in Member States. Drafting and reviewing of relevant documents and reports pertinent to budget and funding activities (project proposals, progress reports, etc.); liaise with relevant parties; identify issues to be addressed and track follow-up actions. Develop of self-assessment tools and corresponding guidance and training materials, in close coordination with the technical officers and international experts. Identify opportunities for promotion and develop outreach materials on the section's work related to the nuclear safety knowledge management. Ensure that the knowledge network IT solutions meet user requirements, are properly tested, adequately documented and conform to established standards. Produce documentation, including user manuals and computer source code descriptions.

Qualifications and Experience

Advanced university degree in engineering, business administration, political science, international relations, law, public administration or related field. Excellent project management skills and work experience in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment. Extensive practical experience in information systems management and technologies. Minimum 5 years of experience in area of developing capacity building programmes, education and training programmes, human resource development plans, communication skill, knowledge management and establishment of management systems, preferably in international organizations. Knowledge of the IAEA structure and functioning would be an asset.

Remuneration

The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of € 300, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
