Lectureship Sustainable Computing

  • Criteria and Approaches for the use of digital technologies from an energy efficiency perspective are critically reflected.

The FH Salzburg employs a team of 400 staff members across four campuses: Campus Urstein, Campus Kuchl, Campus Uniklinikum Salzburg, and Campus Schwarzach.

3,200 students are currently undergoing training in various disciplines, including engineering, social and economic sciences, design, media & art, and health sciences within 18 bachelor's and 12 master's degree programs.

The Department of Creative Technologies under the MultiMediaTechnology program is seeking part-time teaching staff for the winter semester 2024/25.


Lectureship Sustainable Computing (1 weekly semester hour / Type: Seminar)


The seminar, scheduled for the 3rd semester of the Master program MultiMediaTechnology, serves as an introduction to Sustainable Computing.

The content focuses on the utilization of technology and information systems from environmental, social, and economic standpoints concerning sustainable development goals.

Profile
We are seeking candidates (m/f/x) with a solid foundation in computer science and teaching experience in sustainability.

A formal degree is a prerequisite.

Conditions
The role will involve a freelance contract (§ 4 Para. 2 ASVG). External lecturers operate under specific conditions:

  • Employment is restricted to a maximum of 6 semester hours per week.
  • External lecturers must hold verifiable alternative employment that includes full social insurance.

1 semester hour equals 14 teaching units of 45 minutes each.
