University Assistant (must hold a Doctorate/Ph.
D. degree) for a Full-time, six-year position

During the first year, the position will be split and equally allocated to both Univ. Prof. Dr. Meinhard Lukas and Univ. Prof. Dr. Kraus Sixtus-Ferdinand. Starting in the second year, the position will be allocated to work for Univ. Prof. Mag. Dr. Meinhard Lukas.

Job Duties:

  • Actively take part in research, teaching and examination activities of the Institute of Civil Law
  • Independently teach universitylevel classes
  • Independent research (particularly relevant publications and lectures)
  • Provide support to manage the institute's general administration activities

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess outstanding expertise in civil law and private business law (e.g. relevant dissertation, publications and lecturing activities)
  • Interest and professional qualification to conduct scientific work in civil law
  • Professional teaching experience
  • Professional experience (e.g. court year, notary's office, work in a legal department of an international company, law firm or similar professional experience)
  • Strong proficiency in German (grammar and spelling, level C2)
  • Strong command of (legal) English (both oral and written, level B2)
  • Strong sense of commitment and the ability to work accurately and with precision

What We Offer:

  • On the basis of fulltime employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 4,351.90 gross per month (14 x per year, CA
