Das Bundesforschungszentrum für Wald (BFW) widmet sich allen Aspekten des Lebensraums Wald - in ökonomischer, ökologischer und sozialer Hinsicht und beschäftigt derzeit fast 400 Mitarbeiter:innen an fünf Standorten. Am Standort Wien Schönbrunn suchen wir zur Nachbesetzung für unser Datenmanagement-Team in der Abteilung Waldbiodiversität für folgende Stelle eine/n neue/n Mitarbeiter:in:

Data Expert, Backend Developer
Vollzeit oder Teilzeit möglich (ab 30h)


Aufgaben
  • Erweiterung, Optimierung und Wartung von bestehenden Datenbanken (PostgreSQL, Oracle) zu waldökologischen Feldaufnahmen, Untersuchungen und naturschutzfachlichen Themen
  • Beratung, Konzeption und Erstellung neuer projektbezogener Datenbanken für die langfristige, effektive Nutzung und Sicherung von Daten
  • Unterstützung bei der Anbindung von Datenbanken für administrative Tasks und semiautomatisierte Dokumentenerstellung (z.B. jährliches Reporting)
  • Intensiver Austausch mit Fachbereich IT, Frontend- und Datenmanagement-Team zur effizienten Nutzung vorhandener Ressourcen
  • Dokumentation von Prozessen, Datenbankstrukturen und Applikationen
  • Regelmäßige Absprache, Kommunikation und Unterstützung von Kolleg:innen aus anderen Fachbereichen

Optional:

  • Erfahrung in der Verwendung von Versionskontrollsystemen wie Git (Präferiert), VCS, etc.
  • Programmierung und Datenverarbeitung für die Entwicklung von CRUD-Lösungen mit PostgreSQL zur Eingabe und Kontrolle von Erhebungsdaten
  • Unterstützung der wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter:innen in Bezug auf Datenanalyse und Tools (Data Orchestration, Verwendung von Jupyter/Quarto/Markdown)

Profil
  • Abgeschlossenes einschlägiges Studium
  • Fundierte Erfahrung mit PostgreSQL, Python + ORM (Django, FastAPI, Flask, o.ä) für komplexe CRUD-Operationen mit PostgreSQL zur Optimierung von Datenbankdesign und Performance
  • Mindestens fünfjährige einschlägige Berufserfahrung, in der strukturiert und lösungsorientiert gearbeitet wurde

  • Die Entlohnung erfolgt nach der Gehaltstabelle für Vertragsbedienstete des Bundes in der Bewertungsgruppe v1/1. Das Mindestgehalt beträgt bei Vollzeitbeschäftigung EUR 3.590,30 brutto monatlich. Bei entsprechender Berufserfahrung und einer Anrechnung von mehr als 4 Jahren vergleichbarer bzw. relevanter Berufserfahrung erhöht sich das Gehalt auf EUR 4.382,30 brutto monatlich.
