Security Engineering Lead

You will direct the security implementation for all products (embedded, cloud, mobile, etc)You will be directly responsible for security implementation as well as ensuring sufficient security coverage for all of our productsYou will be orchestrating security design decisions across different feature verticals to ensure robust and secure posture in our productsYou will drive the design and implementation of security components and features across multiple layers of our Linux-based platformIdentify threats and risks of our system components using any suitable approach (e.g. TARA, threat modeling)Collaborate with legal, engineering, exec management to mitigate identified threats and risksBe aware of upcoming external security risks and take preventative measuresTogether with security engineers and cyber security compliance manager, work closely with process improvement team to set up the standards and processes for product security & privacy in our Product Development Life Cycle ProcessWork closely with different stakeholders to build and establish "security culture" in the organization through different activities and initiatives in order to make "Security by Design" and "Privacy by Default" principles as an integral part of our product development Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualificationExperience in leading Embedded Software Security Teams Experience in performing TARA and creating security concepts for automotive ECUs (preferably infotainment ECU)Thorough understanding of different cryptographic algorithms, protocols and their applicationsProficiency in shell scripting, Python, C and C++Good understanding of at least one of the well-known Linux Security Modules (Apparmor, SELinux, SMACK, TOMOYO)Good understanding of Linux security mechanisms like Discretionary Access Control, Access Control Lists, Linux Capabilities, CGROUPS, namespaces, seccompFamiliarity with different kernel hardening mechanisms and Linux kernel hardening projects like grsecurity, Kernel Self ProtectionFamiliarity with secure boot mechanism and Trustzone in ARM-based SoCFamiliarity with low level inner-working of operating systems (preferably on Linux or Unix-like system)Well-developed communication (English) and teamwork skills The great opportunity to play a major role in the development of new projects for a German premium automotive manufacturerYou can expect an attractive remuneration modelAnnual vacation entitlement of 30 daysPleasant working atmosphereBy applying through Hays, you will be part of a small, well-fitting selection presented to the client for this positionYou will benefit from exclusive access to interesting companies and exciting projects in cooperation with Hays as a solid and stable partner Our many years of recruitment experience and specialist knowledge of the engineering job market make us a strong partner for engineers and technicians.
