Financial Institutions unit is part of Group Markets Financial Institutions within the Group Markets division.The unit is responsible for the client coverage of domestic and international financial institutions, payment institutions and the active sales of commercial products like payments & cash management, inter-bank (primary and secondary market) trade finance & guarantees, custody, loans and accounts to this client group. In addition we raise cross-selling opportunities for the Markets and Corporate business and co-ordinate the overall client relationships by setting the main business parameters (income and cost budgets, governance, product and sales strategies) towards this client group. As part of the Relationship Management Team we have overall group-wide responsibility for the business with this client group (across all products), client profitability and internal credit limit management (application, allocation within EG, optimisation), client contacts and entry point function into EG, first line of defense responsibility as well escalation and x-selling tasks. Your Tasks * Leading a very experienced Relationship Management and FI Product Sales Team with matrix management resonsibility for local FI Teams in CEE * Assuming group-wide responsibility for the business with all FI clients (across all product areas) - Business steering but also First Line of Defense for any credit and NFR risks and the preparation of the yearly FI Business and Risk Stragegy * Being accountable for optimising and steering overall FI client profitability as well as to compile and monitor KPI budget targets from interbank commerial FI product sales (cash, accounts, trade, guarantess, loans and other credit) * Assuming responsibility for the entire bank credit limit management process (portfolio optimisation, applications, allocations to products and entities and process development) * Defining the parameters and managing the maintenance of our international correspondent banking network * Interfacing with Treasury Trading, DCM, ALM, Group TB/TF Sales, Loan/TF Product Management, Legal, and Banking Services in the Holding and CEE banks and other international presences (primarily HK branch) involved in FI business as well as Credit Risk Management, Corr Banking Compliance, ROCC and ESG offices * Building personal relationships with domestic and international top priority clients and participating in any business dialogues - bilateral meetings, business trips, conferences * Participating and contributing to projects related to FIs (business strategies, infrastructure, regulatory, product development) Your Background * University degree in business administration / economics / law or equivalent education * Long-term experience in FI or international business, transaction banking or large corporate business * In-depth knowledge in all interbank commercial products, good knowledge in treasury and capital markets products, strong understanding of credit (countries and FI) and non-financial risks * Strong customer orientation, communication and presentation skills, strategic thinking, experience in leading diverse teams * Preparedness to travel and flexibility in working hours * MS Office, KDB/Cockpit, Ralfi, RICOS, PAM Reporting and other standard apps * Fluent in English and German, other CEE languages are of advantage Our Offer * Leading a committed team in a divisionalized business area with interesting and challenging tasks within an international environment with a broad product and market range. * As Head of FI you have overall client and interbank commercial product P&L, and deep involvement in various topics related to this client group. * Co-operation with various departments and levels within Erste Group e.g. Trading, Capital Markets, Group Transaction Banking, Back Office and, Mid Office, Erste Digital, Risk Management and Compliance * Discover and enjoy the benefits of Erste Group * The minimum wage for this full-time position in accordance with the collective agreement with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 53.569,-- gross per year.
