Quality Assurance Specialist

Hours Per Week - 37.5

Somerset Bridge Ltd. are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Specialist to work towards the completion of the Annual Internal Audit plan across key areas of the Claims Management function. The role will also provide support with compliance issues and process assurance within the claim's functions.

The role will consist of delivering end-to-end audits to assess effectiveness of internal systems, controls, and processes across financial, operational and regulatory. You'll be contributing to the Quality Framework through the review, analysis and monthly operational performance reports.

Our ideal candidate will have experience within compliance & risk and a sound knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure material business risks are identified with mitigating solutions and controls
  • Maintain detailed audit files to support and evidence audit findings
  • Perform follow-up work ensuring that management progress actions within the agreed time scales and to escalate failure to progress actions
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of business processes whilst challenging and supporting improvements to the control environment
  • Actively develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders whilst gaining knowledge and insight into the issues affecting the business
  • Complete detailed root cause analysis to allow for continuous improvement in line with strategic operational and customer experience objectives
  • Assist in the production of departmental reporting and management information
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of GDPR and Data Protection regulations
  • A structured approach to problem solving with numerical, analytical and logical thinking and high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and organised with the ability to execute projects independently or when working as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic professional, ambitious and innovative in questioning current processes and providing constructive challenge to continually improve services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including clear and concise report writing
