Graphic Design Support - Certificate Program

Want to start a career in graphic design? The Graphic Design Support College CreditCertificate (CCC) program at EFSC offers five essential courses that lay the groundworkfor a career in this versatile field.

You'll learn the basics of drawing and composition using various materials, as wellas computer-based design principles to bring your creative ideas to life and turnyour passion for design into a successful profession.

The hands-on coursework will involve training in Adobe design applications like Photoshopand Illustrator. You'll practice using the vector pen tool for drawing and discoverhow to combine raster and vector file types to create graphic illustrations.

Additionally, you'll delve into the technical aspects of computer graphics, focusingon preparing projects for digital printing and publishing. This includes topics likecolor correction, scanning techniques, color separation, and other prepress procedures.

Graphic Design Support Certificate - Course Curriculum

This certificate program consists of 15 credit-hours of courses, which you can takein-person on EFSC's Cocoa and Melbourne Campuses.

These core courses are packed with crucial information and hands-on practice to helpyou develop essential skills that are necessary for all related certificates and theA.S. degree.

Graphic Design Support Certificate - Admissions Information

Joining this open-access program doesn't require any extra applications or prerequisitetesting. To enroll, just follow the regular admissions and enrollment process at Eastern Florida. If you have any questions or need assistance, don't hesitateto contact an EFSC academic advisor . They'll help you navigate the steps and provide all the information you need toget started.

Brief Costs and Financial Aid Eligibility

If you're a Florida resident, the basic tuition for this certificate program wouldbe around $1,560. Since the program is short, it doesn't qualify for Federal financialaid on its own. However, you can still use other sources to help cover the tuitioncosts.

In addition to essential drawing and design skills, the curriculum also covers technicalaspects of computer graphics, preparing projects for digital printing and publishing,and improving your ability to create graphic illustrations.

If you're a student from Brevard Public Schools and have taken Digital Design 1 and2, there's an opportunity for you to save money and time by potentially earning collegecredit through advanced standing credit . Check with an advisor if this might apply to you.
