Principal Project Manager, Queensland Health

Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy, significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills, and experience to deliver.
Key knowledge and experience:
- Five or more years' experience in the delivery of complex digital or ICT projects and delivering services to large, complex organizations, preferably in the health care sector and in managing large project budgets.
- Proven expertise in, and application of, appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and an ability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate project and program management techniques, methodologies, and tools.
- Proven experience in the effective governance, assurance, benefits management, lessons learned, change management, and performance management that contributes to the overall achievement of the digital projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain project deliverables and services in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others to cultivate productive working relationships with proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation skills at all levels in a complex digital project delivery environment.
- Proven ability to develop and manage digital project planning activities, taking into consideration multiple site deployments, data migration, procurement, training, engagement, and any other business activities required to deliver successful projects.
