The role
We are seeking to employ a Full-time 2IC Team Leader (Organics) to join the Water Division located in Scoresby, Victoria.
The 2IC Team Leader will report to, and work with, the Organics Team Leader in assuming responsibility for the team and the safe, efficient, and timely operation of their tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in maintaining and improving the level of safety across the department.
  • Supporting the Team Leader with respect to operational requirements, meeting TATs, R&D projects, maintaining technical and staff records, calibrations, and Performance Management Reviews.
  • Ensuring the laboratory operates in a clean, organised, and safe manner.
  • Meetings and exceeding client contractual service delivery KPIs.
  • Ensuring high quality services to clients are maintained.
  • Assisting in managing departmental costs as an acceptable portion of revenue.
  • Maintaining equipment used for allocated analyses strictly adhering to quality and safety requirements.
  • Creating value through technical leadership, industry knowledge, automation & innovation.
  • Any other duties as required.

The role
We are seeking to employ a Full-time 2IC Team Leader (Organics) to join the Water Division located in Scoresby, Victoria.
The 2IC Team Leader will report to, and work with, the Organics Team Leader in assuming responsibility for the team and the safe, efficient, and timely operation of their tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in maintaining and improving the level of safety across the department.

The essentials
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
  • 2 years’ relevant previous laboratory experience.
  • Experience in GC and LC experience is preferred.
  • Genuine leadership and performance management abilities.
  • Ability to manage high volume workloads to ensure client service delivery and contractual KPIs are achieved and exceeded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and a strong continuous improvement approach.
  • Ability to identify and implement effective resource management strategies to maximise productivity.
  • A determined focus to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients built on technical leadership and superior service delivery.
