We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Advisor that is wanted by a leading Melbourne commercial and residential builder. Supporting the team with new accreditation to take safety to the next level.Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of construction teams and communities? Our client is a leading Melbourne-based commercial and residential builder, that is seeking an experienced Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor to join our team.
- Maintaining, reviewing, developing, implementing and the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and processes.
- Help work on the Federal accreditation certificate.
- HSEQ Advisor that is office based and admin focused
- Maintaining and updating plans, systems and registers
- Respond to areas of non-compliance in a timely and proactive manner
- Projects ranging from $50 to $120m
- Participate in HSE audits as required by the company and clients
- Manage and maintain HSE registers and compiling weekly/monthly HSE report
Responsibilities
As an HSEQ Advisor, you will play a vital role in promoting a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and quality across our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive HSEQ management systems in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conducting regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Providing guidance and support to project teams on HSEQ matters, including training, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, to foster a proactive approach to HSEQ management.
- Monitoring project performance against HSEQ targets and objectives, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Relevant qualifications in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in HSEQ roles within the construction sector, preferably with a focus on commercial and residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with emerging trends and developments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive a culture of safety and quality.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and achieving measurable results.
