We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and client-centric individual who loves variety and thrives in a busy and integral position. Join our Home and Community Services (H&CS) team in the role ofCommunity Worker Team Leader. This role is office based and leads our team of Senior Community Workers who provide face to face supervision throughout the region.Experience in the care sector preferred but not essential - some people leadership experience a must.

What will your role look like?

In thisrole, you will support and work collaboratively to lead and coach a dedicated team of Community Workers who provide direct care to our older clients across Wagga Wagga and Young

Day to day this includes:

  • Responsibilityfor day to day supervision, direction and management of Community Workers.
  • Management of compliance requirements for Community Workers within Home & Community Services policies and procedures.
  • Mentor Community Workers by planning, directing and providing feedback from competency assessments/support visits.
  • Oversee the work of Community Workers, including conducting performance reviews, Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and provide guidance and direction to Community Workers to model and improve performance.
  • Work closely with Coordinators and Care Advisors, providing feedback and addressing any service delivery concerns as they arise.
  • Work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure Community Workernumbers meet the service demands of the region.
  • Investigate incidents and complaints relating to Community Worker performance.
  • Planning and management of leave requests for Community Workers.
  • Organising, planning and documenting community worker meetings.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of concerns raised by Community Workers.
  • EnsureCommunity Workers are provided with regular feedback, areengaged and positive behaviour is recognised.

About you:

The ideal candidate is a diligent, empathetic and driven individual who is motivated by their passion to assist others.

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory position and some experience in managing performance - Essential
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of rostering management systems
  • Previous experience as a Home Care Worker (min 3 years) or equivalent is highly desirable (but not essential)
  • Cert lll or lV in Aged Care or equivalent preferred (but not essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS policy and processes
  • High degree of computer literacywith an ability to learn new software programs
