Senior Pricing Actuarial Analyst - Pricing Actuary - Sydney - Hybrid - Up to 200,000 AUD

I am currently working with one of Australia's Largest Insurance Providers who are looking for a Senior Pricing Actuarial Analyst to join their team in Sydney

As a Senior Pricing Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate competitor pricing models using advanced modelling skills. You will communicate your analytical findings to various stakeholders and make recommendations that align with the company’s strategic direction for its consumer and commercial brands and products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct price comparisons with competitor brands to ensure alignment with the company’s brand strategy. Monitor competitor pricing movements, market share, and incorporate all relevant information into pricing recommendations and proposals.
  • Create statistical models to predict competitor pricing. Research competitor behaviours and strategies to gain an in-depth understanding of pricing factors and differences.
  • Identify, investigate, and introduce new modeling techniques to improve model accuracy and predictive capabilities.
  • Drive and promote innovation through process improvements and automation.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to meet business needs, including automating report generation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Advanced analytical skills in data science, statistical modelling, and predictive modelling.
  • Ability to conduct statistical analysis and research independently.
  • Experience with R, SAS, and Python is essential. Knowledge of other programming languages such as SQL is desirable.
  • Experience in handling large and complex datasets.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics and predictive modelling.
  • Experience in general insurance, with a solid understanding of insurance products, industry trends, market environment, and customer segments.
