About the Company:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant ready to take the next step in the support office of a privately owned company in the medical industry going through an exciting period of growth.
We are seeking a proactive, motivated team player, to join our close-knit team as an Accountant. Your responsibilities will be broad, covering all facets of the finance function.
Your role will include, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
- Accounts Receivable including generating invoices, verify and accurately post all payments to the correct invoices
- Reporting Aged Receivables
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Completing fortnightly contractor payments
- Payroll for a select group of staff
- Provide support and back up to Accounts Payable Officer around the accounts payable function
- Processing of accruals, prepayments and subsequent journals
- Assisting with monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Assisting with the Fixed Asset Register
- Assisting with year-end procedures
- Continuous improvement of financial processes
Key to your success with this role will be your excellent attention to detail and not be afraid to use your initiative. In addition, you will also require the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Completed or working towards CA or CPA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work within a team environment
- MYOB Advanced would be highly regarded
