International Grammar School (IGS)is a vibrant, secular, coeducational school situated across five sites inUltimo, Glebe and Kangaroo Valley. There are 1300 students from Preschool toYear 12 being educated in a unique bilingual environment. 

We are seeking a School Counsellorto join our Wellbeing Team. Commencing in Term 3, 2024, this is a full-time,ongoing position.

This role calls for a dynamic andpassionate psychologist to provide an evidence based counselling service tostudents. The school counsellors form an integral part of the student wellbeingteam. Central to this role is the provision of support to students experiencinga variety of mental health, developmental and other learning or wellbeingissues; liaising with staff and parents; and assisting in the development andimplementation of programs that boost the wellbeing of our students.

The successful applicant will have:

? full registration as apsychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA),with a minimum 2 year’s experience as a psychologist

? demonstrated experience in workingwith children and adolescents

? experience in managing a large anddiverse caseload

? highly developed written andverbal communication skills

? demonstrated ability tocollaborate with a diverse team, and to work independently.

? Experience in working in a schoolsetting

? Experience in delivering group counsellingprograms to young people
