Meridan State College has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Deputy Principal (Primary) to join our Leadership Team on a temporary full-time basis starting 08 July 2024 to 13 December 2024, unless otherwisedetermined.

The Deputy Principal (Primary) leads and manages the team to develop and commit to a shared College vision of 'Igniting Minds, Empowering Futures' focused on providing quality curriculum,teaching and learning outcomes for all students.

The Deputy Principal (Primary) will nurture positive relationships with the entire Meridan community, inspiring curriculum delivery and growth.

About Meridan State College

Meridan State College is an Independent Public School with an established reputation as a high performing school with an emphasis on quality teaching and high standards of behaviour in a safe, supportive environment.
Meridan is a Prep-Year 12 College and boasts a distinctive sub school structure which fosters the education of this broad age range of students in modern campuses, which have been purpose designed to cater for each cohort at their specific age of development. Each phase offers a diverse and rich curriculum supported by quality teaching that gives our students a seamless progression through their 13 years of schooling. A dense rainforest divides the site providing a separation of the sub schools. A boardwalk which transverses the rainforest links the sub schools and provides unique learning experiences for our students in a beautiful, natural environment.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Deputise for the Principal when required.
• Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
• Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
• Set high standards for student and staff performance.
