Assured Learning Australia is an established, reputable Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with ambitious plans. 

We deliver trade training to the automotive industry that includes heavy commercial vehicle and agricultural mechanical apprenticeship training, automotive air conditioning and hybrid & battery electric vehicle technology, along with future plans for a variety of automotive short courses.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced automotive trainer & assessor, predominantly in the areas of air conditioning, heavy commercial vehicle and agricultural mechanical, to deliver our apprentice training and short courses. You will work as part of a team to train and assess the units of competence, as directed by VET documentation, and to continually improve service and delivery.

About you:

You will have an automotive trade background, will be highly motivated, committed, reliable, hard-working, passionate about the automotive industry and developing the technicians of the future, and keen to contribute to the success and further growth of the RTO.

You could be an experienced trainer/assessor or a vehicle technician that is looking to get off the tools and get into a training-based role. Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience in trade training, as long as you are willing to learn and assist the team, we will ensure you are fully trained and supported in your new role. This may include trade upgrades and Certificate IV in Training and Assessing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the training team with practical training program delivery.
  • Accurately maintaining records and documentation.
  • Participating in moderation and validation processes.
  • Visiting apprentices in the workplace.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments.
  • Exploring future opportunities and areas for growth.

Successful candidates MUST have:

  • An automotive trade qualification as a light vehicle, heavy vehicle, mobile plant or agricultural mechanic and a minimum of 4 years automotive post-trade industry experience.
  • Recent and relevant work experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with a good level of attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with all key stakeholders.
  • Current driver's licence, driving history check.
