Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining. Our Mine Closure capabilities cover closure planning, landform and cover design, materials characterisation, rehabilitation & revegetation planning and closure cost estimating.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the development of Mine Closure Plans and Cost Estimates that contribute to Engineering Concept Studies.
  • Provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders on rehabilitation & closure issues.
  • Utilise your strong technical skill base to develop closure strategies for complex landforms.
  • Have an understanding of the necessary documentation to meet regulatory and legislative requirements during mine planning, design, operation and closure.
  • Deliver strategic work for the business, including the development of new processes required to support the transition of assets to closure.
  • Ensure that closure aspects are considered in mine planning, design and operation.

About You

  • Relevant Degree within Environmental Science, Management or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of the WA mining market including relevant approvals and legislation.
  • 5+ years’ experience in closure planning, mining, rehabilitation and/or related area.
  • Prior experience working through the study phase of mine closure, either long term planning or execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience dealing with a variety of clients and stakeholders.
