Construction Supervisor - Harwyn: Innovators in Educational Prefabricated/Modular Buildings

Position Overview:

As the Construction supervisor your primary focus is to manage a portfolio of off site construction of double and single storey modular buildings as well as other spaces including music rooms, toilet blocks ad admin areas in our factory in Dandenong South. Reporting to the Head of Production some key responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities:

  • Build quality buildings in accordance with plans, specifications and company construction policies and procedures within contracted timeframes
  • Day to day scheduling, management and coordination of trades and contractors in the factory, suppliers & deliveries, completion of paperwork and other admin tasks.
  • Ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Maintaining site safety and cleanliness
  • Ensuring work is completed to a satisfactory standard
  • Enforce and adhere to OH&S regulations

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years experience preferably in the prefabricated/modular building industry
  • Strong leadership & motivational skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams of sub-contractors
  • An ability to ensure that jobs are scheduled effectively and are managed within time specifications.
  • Ability to read and analyse architectural, structural and LGS framing drawings
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality
  • Confidence and ability in dealing with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills, including oral and written communication
  • A passion to produce a high quality of work
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
