Role Overview:

As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable ETL data pipelines and infrastructure to support their technologies in the data stack: Snowflake, dbt, Kafka, AWS, python, git and more.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including BI team, data scientists, data architects and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • 7+ years' of commercial experience in a technical data engineering role, preferably in the FinTech/banking industry.
  • 2+ years in a Lead Data Engineer position which included both technical and team leadership (of teams of 3 or more data engineers)
  • Design, develop and maintain ETL Pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience with Snowflake, python, Airflow, Kafka, Git and AWS.
  • Excellent experience building and/or managing CI/CD pipelines. Use of dbt is highly preferable.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining data health check processes.
  • Strong understanding DevOps principles and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, integrity, and governance across all data assets.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, evaluating and adopting new tools and frameworks to enhance our data infrastructure and capabilities.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team and culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
