We are currently searching for a WTP Operations & Maintenance Manager to work within our Watercare APAC team managing our operational contracts.

Reporting to our Watercare Regional Manager – APAC, you will be accountable for managing the delivery of our WTP O&M contracts and rentals by managing, directly or indirectly, the site-based operators, contractors, remote monitoring team, process engineers as well as contract administration to ensure that all KPIs are met.

This a key leadership role for our team that will actively participate in business development, project management and other tasks that will help drive IXOM’s and our customers’ future success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow IXOM Watercare’s Operations and Maintenance business to ensure we meet and exceed all client KPIs. Includes day-to-day management of operators and liaison with operational support engineers. .
  • Manage multi-disciplinary engineering construction teams to deliver successful WTP rental contracts.
  • Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all O&M commitments are met and exceeded.
  • Managing any changes to obligations and KPIs with its clients.
  • Direct line management responsibility of site based WTP operators and indirect management responsibility/influence of client supplied operators.
  • Review of performance data and consultation on daily basis with WTP operators, WTP process engineers and site water infrastructure manager to ensure operations are undertaken in accordance with agreed requirements which the customer revises from time to time.
  • Set up and maintenance of ancillary contracts with specialist subcontractors to fulfil Ixom’s contract obligations such as electrical maintenance and inspections, structural and offsite laboratory analysis.
  • Management of Ixom and client assets and inventory, both on and off site.
  • Identify and propose improvements, including cost proposals and project implementation.
  • Frequent regional travel to our various WTP locations.

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in water industry essential
  • Operations management experience with membrane water treatment plants highly desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications, in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or operations management desirable
  • Prior people management experience, including management of direct and indirect reports across various locations
  • Competent at troubleshooting plant equipment, including mechanical aptitude and ability to understand principles of operating basic electrical and instrumentation.
  • Appropriate equipment and instrument operation.
  • Read and understand PFDs, P&IDs, equipment data and laboratory analysis
