The Trade Marketing Officer, under the direction of the Trade Marketing Manager, is responsible for promoting Tasmania’s competitive trade advantages and working towards positioning the state as ‘first choice’ among targeted buyers and key leaders.This role is responsible for applying specialised expertise in relation to business-to-business content marketing including sourcing, creating and disseminating high quality, brand-aligned content. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with key government departments and agencies, and Tasmanian businesses and industry associations to deliver content rich solutions that elevates Tasmania’s commerce credentials interstate and internationally.

Period of Appointment

Appointment to the role is on a fixed t erm flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight)for 12 months.

Duties
  • Develop and maintain Trade Tasmania’s high quality, brand-aligned content including the development of digital, print, audio-visual, merchandise and public relations collateral in conjunction with the Department’s Communications team.
  • Enhance existing content and ensure quality-control, by regularly reviewing engagement outcomes across social media, email direct marketing, website platform/s, trade directory and marketing collateral.
  • Undertake projects and marketing activities that increase trade outcomes and brand awareness at national and international trade events, including post attendance research and analysis.
  • Assist with the development of influential content strategies aligned to brand and trade objectives, through regular international stakeholder collaboration and content calendar reviews.
  • Confidently provide business to business content marketing advice in internal and external discussions and forums.
  • Support the development of accurate and timely responses to ministerial and executive requests including event briefs, correspondence, speech notes and media releases.
  • Perform any other assigned duties at the classification level that are within the employee’s competence and training.
  • Relevant tertiary and/or industry recognised qualifications and affiliations in marketing and / or communications and / or business
