Our client is an Australian market leader in their field. As an ASX-listed industrial manufacturing company they have a rich history of innovation, sustainability, and impact. They continue to drive growth through innovation and engineering expertise, partnering with their clients to deliver customised, high-quality solutions.

They are seeking to appoint a General Counsel and Company Secretary. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping their legal strategy, managing corporate governance, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all aspects of their operations.

Reporting to the CEO the General Counsel & Company Secretary will be an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team. You will support the effectiveness of the Board of Directors and Board Committees by providing advice on the alignment between strategy, governance, legislation, and policies and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. In addition, your key responsibilities include providing general in-house legal advice to the CEO and managing all external legal interactions of the company.

In order to be successful in the role, you will bring significant experience as a General Counsel in a construction, industrial or manufacturing focused business. You will also have a deep understanding of the corporate governance requirements of the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules. In addition, you will apply your depth and breadth of experience in a dynamic, fast-paced and ambitious growth-oriented business.
