Senior Electrical Engineer wanted for Tier 1 Electrical Construction Company. Oversee small team of Junior Engineers
THE COMPANYOur client is a Tier 1, National Electrical Construction Contractor, they are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team in Perth.
Their reputation is based on their project management systems, scale and experience. As market leaders in their sector, some of their client relationships reach back over 50 years. Their track record of major iconic projects, innovation and numerous industry awards demonstrate that they offer industry leading project management and technical expertise. Their current pipeline is bursting at the seams and this will present a very positive growth period for the next few years.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible to;
- Lead the delivery of the electrical design of large-scale projects from inception to completion
- Produce concept and detailed designs in line with client requirements
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures; including to lead and oversee the preparation of engineering drawings, reports and engineering specifications
- Collaboratively engage with clients to listen, understand, and provide solutions.
- Attend site meetings from time to time if required.
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
- Coach, mentor and lead a small team of junior engineers
- Utilise your problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Demonstrated experience in Commercial Electrical Construction projects
- Strong communicator, client facing role, must have ability to build, maintain and manage strong client relationships
- Experience with Projects valued between $10m - $30m
- Experience managing and leading projects from concept design to completion
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and codes related to electrical design and installation associated with the electrical industry
