AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services, the world’s leading provider of cloud computing services, is looking for Specialist Seller to join the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) specialist team focusing on Amazon Data Services (Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB etc ). Working side by side with Account Managers and technical leaders, you will be responsible for helping customers create new services, new capabilities, and decrease cost by adopting Amazon data services.
The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in Data and AI, along with a diverse technical, IT management, and/or engineering background, as well as knowledge of cloud computing, industry trends, and product developments. This role requires a strong passion for working with customers and partners, a high level of comfort navigating ambiguity, and attention to detail. Travel for face-to-face customer engagements, internal conferences, and industry events.
Key job responsibilities
- Understanding of Data technology and related industry developments, including Amazon services such as RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB. DocumentDB, Neptune, Timestream, NoSQL database.
- Communicate internally and externally about Amazon data strategy, value proposition, and offerings. Help field teams understand data services and help customers successfully adopt them.
- Understand and uncover customers’ challenges in adopting data, and show how AWS solutions can help them provide new services, new capabilities, and new efficiencies.
- Work with partners, internal teams, and customers to determine best use-cases, deployment, and adoption of data and related technologies, etc.
- Work closely with global WWPS account teams and sales and technical leadership to build programs that accelerate adoption of data workloads, including generating technical content and white papers.
- Define and deploy data campaigns and work with sales and field teams to implement them.
- Identify and remove obstacles that block adoption of data and related workloads.

- 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
- 7+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience
- Deep experience and understanding in Data and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML)
- Experience developing detailed go to market plans
