VetPartners Australia Pty Ltd is looking fora dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join the oncology team atONE Cancer Care for Pets, a newly established veterinary service, exclusively dedicated to Oncology in the Sydney regions of Artarmon and Rosebery.ONE Cancer Care for Pets is a newly established veterinary service, exclusively dedicated to Oncology in the Sydney region. Working alongside the teams at North Shore Specialist and Emergency Centre and Sydney Veterinary Emergency Specialists, the team will be focused on providing their patients with the full array of services including medical and surgical oncology, as well as radiation therapy.Our oncology team are looking for dedicated nurses who enjoy working collaboratively with their team, as well as other specialists within our broader community. We have a Full-time position available within our team. Duties would include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining client relationships
  • In-hospital patient care alongside the referral oncology team
  • Administering chemotherapy under veterinary supervision
  • Dispensing veterinary prescribed chemotherapy drugs
  • Updating chemotherapy flowcharts
  • Pathology and histopathology laboratory coordination
What are we needing from you:
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
  • Minimum two years veterinary nursing experience in a busy clinic
  • Strong interest in oncological disorders; diagnostic procedures; management; treatment; and palliative care protocols
  • Excellent intravenous skills
  • Understanding of cytotoxic substances and procedures
  • Passionate about providing gold standard patient care
  • Proficient in anaesthesia induction and monitoring under veterinary supervision.
  • Empathetic client and patient rapport
