Reporting in the Head of BERLEI the Merchandise Manager is responsible executing on category plans aligned to strategic direction including managing all aspects of product including range planning, new product introductions, lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understand market research and maintain knowledge on consumer usage and attitudes of the market
  • Ensure a highly commercial and profitable range is produced and delivered on a seasonal basis
  • Achieve sales and profit budgets through effective range selection and allocation
  • Develop and manage annual promotional calendar that delivers sales returns
  • Lead cross functional post season reviews to assess prior season range performance and insights on season performance
  • Managing and career development of direct report, Merchandise Co - ordinator

Ideal for your success is:

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Business, Buying, Marketing or Sales
  • Experience as an Assistant Buyer/Planner/Marketing Sales or Category Management
  • Highly organised, with an ability to work across multiple tasks with effective time management skills
  • High levels of commercial and numeracy combined with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong excel and MS Office and Powerpoint
