Overview
Gallagher Bassett (GB) is Australia and New Zealand’s premier third party claims administrator. We manage claims on behalf of insurers, brokers, government bodies and self-insured organisations. We are part of the leading global risk management and insurance group Arthur J Gallagher & Co.

We are offering multiple PIAWE Specialist roles to support Case Managers with the calculation and determination of pre-injury average weekly earnings (PIAWE).
You will be responsible for
- Advising and providing technical support in the calculation and determination of wage and compensation decisions;
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including case management and legal advisory personnel, legal practitioners, regulatory bodies etc around case management strategy and litigation matters;
- Coach and mentor case management personnel, and collaborate with our additional Mental Health, Complex Care and Rehabilitation support hubs;
- Complete quality assurance reviews of PIAWE decisions;
- Participate in key business projects and initiatives.
How you'll make an impact
- Advising and providing technical support in the calculation and determination of wage and compensation decisions;
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including case management and legal advisory personnel, legal practitioners, regulatory bodies etc around case management strategy and litigation matters;

About you
- Either
- Experience in technical or case management roles within a workers compensation setting, with demonstrated understanding in the calculation of wages or PIAWE decisions, or
- Experience in accounting or payroll disciplines with practice in assessing pay slip codes and processing wage payments.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation;
- A strategic mindset and approach to work;
- A strong sense of team and collaboration;
- A willingness to learn and develop;
- A resilient attitude.
