Our client is a global sports agency with more than 600 staff across Europe, the US and Melbourne. Their focus is driving growth for sports properties by delivering deeper connections with fans through the intelligent use of data and technology. They work with some of the biggest sports organisations in Australia and around the world including the AFL, Cricket Australia, NFL, Premier League Football, Formula 1 and Wimbledon.

Central to their strategy is leveraging data to enhance clients' understanding of their customers and provide insights that guide strategic decision-making. They develop digital products designed to increase audiences and revenue across ticketing, participation, sponsorship, and media.

As the product team continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join the Melbourne team. This role requires a skilled communicator and collaborator with a background working in Agile teams, tasked with delivering exceptional digital products for sports clients.

You will be delivering websites, mobile applications and digital marketing products supported by underlying technology including CMS, CRM, Data Warehouses, CDP, Identity tools and a range of digital marketing tools.

This role requires an individual who brings energy, pragmatism and critical thinking to our client’s customers.

Responsibilities:

• This a heavy manual testing role, between 70-90% of the work with will be manual testing so you will need to enjoy and be happy being hands on
• Responsible for both manual and test automation activities including functional, API, Accessibility, Multi-lingual, Security, Regression, Performance, and System Testing
• Day-to-day, you will work with the team to understand the desired product outcomes being delivered. You will need to design and execute test cases for the various web applications and APIs being developed.
• Testing functionality during sprints to ensure that everything is working as expected and provide feedback to developers.
• Test environments post-deployment to ensure that the deployment has been a success

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Q.A. Engineering role
• You are client facing and possess Agency / Consulting company experience
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and directly with clients.
• Experience in utilising and testing core digital technologies including CMS, CRM, VMS, Mobile Applications and Data Warehouses.
• Competent in utilising project management and testing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Lucid Chart, Figma and Postman
• Highly experienced in defining test scenarios from acceptance criteria
• Experience in integration and end-to-end testing
• Hands on experience with one or more automation frameworks -Selenium / Cypress /Rest Assured. (This is a small element of the role as mentioned above)
• Hand on experience on writing SQL queries
• Working knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG2.2AA and experience using accessibility testing tools (like Wave and Axe tools) is highly desirable
• Experience with Performance testing would be considered favourably (K6, JMeter or Loadrunner)
• A keen interest in sport or the sports business and a real interest in the positive effects on clients' businesses.

This role is hybrid remote with two days per week in the office (located in Melbourne CBD) or onsite at client offices as required.
