About the role

We are seeking an experienced VMWare Engineer with minimum NV1 security clearance to be responsible for developing and operating VMware virtualization platforms to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our client's IT infrastructure. You will design, test, deploy, and maintain VMware software and hardware, providing guidance to other technical team members as needed.

This role is based on-site in Adelaide and can be taken as a Contract or Permanent opportunity.

About you

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Provide and support proposal creation, contribute to cost estimates and business case generation as well as drive architectures that are resilient and robust.
• Be responsible for developing and operating VMware virtualization platforms to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our IT infrastructure.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain VMware software and hardware, providing guidance to other technical team members as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum NV1 clearance, ideally NV2 or PV
• A background in Defence or Federal Government is highly desirable
• Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Experience in designing, testing, and deploying VMware software and hardware.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery services for VMware virtualization platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with automation tools and techniques for VMware environments.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-performance virtualization solutions.
• Relevant industry certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP).
