Red Arrow Australia is seeking a Site Supervisor to play a crucial role in the successful and safe completion of a mine site project. The Site Supervisor will play a crucial role in the successful and safe completion of the mine site construction project, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction activities on a mine site. This position requires a strong leader with extensive experience in mine site construction projects, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and project timelines. The Site Supervisor will work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Construction Management:
- Oversee all construction activities on the mine site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule construction activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Supervise and manage on-site construction personnel and subcontractors.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
- Monitor and address any environmental concerns or compliance issues related to construction activities.
Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that construction work meets project standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality issues promptly.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide regular project updates.
- Foster positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
Resource Management:
- Manage on-site resources efficiently, including equipment, materials, and manpower.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact construction progress or quality.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop solutions for unforeseen challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on mine site construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license.
- Mine site safety certifications
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations.
