This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP’s Water Utilities team. You will join one of the largest consulting teams in Adelaide in the water sector and collaborate with talented professionals nationwide (Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, and Gold Coast). Working on iconic projects, you will drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.

We are involved in some of Australia's industry leading water programs partnering with key clients including:

• SA Water Engineering Panel
• Wastewater Regional Program and Water Southern Zones Programs, Urban Utilities
• Capital Delivery Office (CDO), TasWater
• Gold Coast PSP
• Delivering 4 Customers, Sydney Water

We understand that everybody's strengths differ, and while we value having the right experience, we are opening applications to candidates with proven experience in the water, mining or industrial sector at a Professional to Principal Level. Depending on your experience, ideally you will:

• Drive the technical quality of water and wastewater infrastructure design projects.
• Develop and deliver civil design through the full spectrum of the project life cycle to ensure work output is of a technically high standard.
• Produce and review concise, high-quality technical documentation.
• Understand and manage the design of a range of projects or program work packages.
• Contribute to the design team by actively assisting colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results, enhancing satisfaction, and exceeding client expectations.
• Assist in preparing and coordinating high-quality proposals and pursuits.
• Assist in project management and design management of a range of projects.
• Develop and mentor younger engineers.
• Work collaboratively with a team, including on large-scale multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects and programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an Experienced or Senior Engineer in a consultancy environment.
• Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with specific experience in pipeline and pump station design.
• Experience in the design management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of relevant industry-related Australian Standards and WSAA codes is advantageous. SA Water projects highly advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer or actively working towards chartered status.
• Well-developed use and understanding of Civil 3D modeling software, and 2D and 3D CADD software is advantageous.
• Understanding of related safety in design practices and processes.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Ability to prepare successful proposals with the correct scope and budget.
• Help develop and mentor younger engineers, both on projects and through structured training.
• Ability to submit technical reports to a high standard requiring minimal correction, and provide final review of reports.
• Experience in Design and Construction projects is advantageous.
