General Accountant

FlapKap is a dynamic and fast-growing startup that provides financial support to digitally-native businesses in the Middle East and Africa. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Admin Executive to join our team. As an Admin Executive, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office. You will handle a variety of administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining office supplies. Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Ensure an accurate and timely month-end close by preparing various journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaid, accruals, fixed assets, and inter-company accounts.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
• Analyzing bank statements and recording their transactions.
• Petty Cash Accounts & related G.L Entries.
• Assist with annual audit with external auditors

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree
• 1-2 years of proven experience as an Accountant
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like Dynamics 365
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Very good in English
