About the role

Reporting to our Managing Director the Head of Finance role is pivotal in driving commercial awareness and operational efficiencies across the company.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary custodian of the company’s financial health, overseeing all aspects of financial management and reporting.
  • Lead and manage the finance function, ensuring accurate intercompany charging and comprehensive financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals, particularly in managing project and company cash flows and operational overhead.
  • Be a part of the senior leadership team responsible for driving organisational performance.
  • Partner with all parts of the business to enhance commercial awareness and financial understanding at the project level.
  • Deliver robust reporting standards and simplify complex data into actionable insights.
  • Lead payroll function, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely processing.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including banks, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Inspire and motivate the team, maximise performance and foster professional growth.
  • Build a collaborative and supportive environment, create a high-performing team that consistently delivers exceptional results.

About You

This position would suit a candidate who possesses the following:

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Strong background in managing multiple related entities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of enhancing team dynamics and capabilities.
  • An appetite for technology adoption, especially in financial processes.
  • Proven experience within the construction industry is preferred.
