PASO Medical is an integrated provider of Oncology services, located in Frankston, VIC. The organisation comprises three divisions – 

• Clinical Trials - The Clinical Trials Unit supports academic and commercial research predominantly in patients with oncological and haematological cancers. 

• PASO Infusion Centre – a registered and accredited private Day Procedure Centre that provides Chemotherapy and other Infusion services. 

• Consulting Rooms – This is a modern facility suited to specialists wishing to service the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience

  • Post Graduate Qualifications in Management or Health Administration .
  • At least two years experience of managing the operations within a healthcare organisation in Australia. Desirable to have experience of management within a Clinical Trials setting.
  • Some understanding of conduct of Clinical Trials and management of research-based teams will be preferrable.
  • An understanding of the business principles which apply to the health industry in Australia
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise a busy workload, remain calm and productive under pressure and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
  • High-level interpersonal skills. An ability to build rapport and to interact with a wide range of stakeholders (including difficult or upset people)
  • Administrative experience including creating documents and spreadsheets, writing professional letters, ordering/billing/invoicing, organising meetings and other office management functions

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You will be in charge of managing the day to day operations and administration of an established, integrated Oncology services provider.
  • Development of business plans, and preparation of business case documentation
  • Recommending and implementing strategies for growing revenue
  • Critical analysis of the business model, and development of recommendations to improve the business operations
  • Planning, monitoring and reporting of the operational budget
  • Monthly reporting of activity statistics and key performance indicators
  • Managing contracts with suppliers and funders
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of performance management plans for individual staff members
  • Assisting in managing workplace issues including workforce recruitment and retention, and employee relationships (with OH&S, effective change management, and performance evaluation)
