Troocoo Troocoo Government Tech is currently seeking an ICT Resource & Asset Management Advisor to join an established State Government Department. This is an initial 6-month contract (with a 3-month extension), based in the CBD and offering $69.34 per hour plus super.

As the ICT Resource & Asset Management Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing the lifecycle for all Department-managed assets (hardware, software, intellectual property, licenses, warranties, etc.), ensuring they are identified, controlled, managed, and protected throughout their lifecycle.
2. Monitoring software licenses for optimum/legal utilization, maintaining tools for software distribution and installation.
3. Providing information and advice on hardware assets maintenance, software licensing, intellectual property protection, and legal obligations.
4. Offering financial management support by forecasting and monitoring payments to third-party providers, preparing and monitoring purchase orders, invoice payments, and monthly accrual submissions.
5. Monitoring expenditure against year-to-date budget on a monthly basis for departmental IT-related costs.
6. Maintaining the IT contract register, monitoring actual expenditure against each contract payment schedule, and escalating misalignments to cash flows.
7. Establishing a review process to evaluate performance against IT contract key performance indicators and targets as outlined in the contract provisions, providing data and reports to senior managers and supporting monthly or quarterly performance review meetings with vendors.

To be successful in this position, you must have:

• Knowledge and experience in using SAP as the financial management system and in software and hardware asset management tools/systems such as SAP or ServiceNow.
• High analytical skills to provide strategic advice and options to the leadership team on financial and asset management matters.
• Strong interpersonal skills for task coordination and verification involving various stakeholders.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills for liaising with management, staff, and vendors on asset and license management matters.
• Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management activities.
• Understanding and application of procurement, contract management, financial, and asset management legislation, policies, and procedures.
