The primary role of the systems administrator is to deploy, secure and support infrastructure solutions for HUB24 and its clients. This includes supporting the infrastructure for high volume trade systems, software as a service applications, and corporate environments. This role is part of a team that develops, implements and operates networks and servers, responds to alarms, incidents and service requests, and proactively monitors and manages system stability, capacity and performance. System administrators are an escalation point for developers and support staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage cloud, network, datacenter, and office infrastructure and systems.
  • Provide technical analysis, design, system administration, and day-to-day support services for HUB24 and its clients.
  • Develop and improve operational processes and procedures across cloud and on-premise technologies.
  • Collaborate on and execute strategic initiatives with creative conceptual thinking.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely use of internal systems and advising on necessary revisions.
  • Provide all levels of IT support, diagnose and resolve problems, ensuring compliance with established practices and protocols.
  • Ensure system integrity, security, and confidentiality, complying with relevant regulatory requirements, including privacy and financial industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, including change requests, technical and user guides, asset and configuration registers, and knowledge bases.
  • Work collaboratively, share responsibilities, provide backup support to team members, and offer professional support in infrastructure deployment, support, and maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Proven success in improving operational processes and technologies.
  • 3+ years in IT Operations or Infrastructure support.
  • Tertiary qualifications and technical certifications are highly regarded.
  • Experience in finance, capital markets, and wealth management technology is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in technical documentation, design, user guides, and solving problems both autonomously and in a team
  • Proficient in ITIL and DevOps principles with expertise in ICT operations for both cloud and on-premise environments
  • Proficiency in a wide range of technologies including:
  • Automation: PowerShell, version control (e.g., git), CI/CD, WMI, Ansible, WSUS, Linux scripting (e.g., bash)
  • Linux: Ubuntu, RHEL, system configuration, troubleshooting
  • Monitoring: Experience with tools like PRTG, Dynatrace
  • Cloud: Familiarity with Office 365, GCP, AWS, Entra ID
  • Networking: Knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, troubleshooting (ping, nslookup)
  • Microsoft: Expertise in Windows Server 2016+, SQL Server 2012R2+, Active Directory, IIS
  • Virtualization: Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere
