Key responsibilities
  • Undertaking merger analysis and preparing associated submissions/applications in Australia and across the APAC region.

  • Advising on the competition law implications and structuring of joint ventures and other alliances.

  • Advising clients on all aspects of competition and consumer law matters, including cartel conduct, misuse of market power, anti-competitive arrangements, misleading and deceptive, unconscionable conduct, and other consumer protection matters.

  • Responding to ACCC investigations across all competition and consumer related matters.

  • Advising on access regimes and regulation of monopoly infrastructure.

  • Advising on and obtaining clearance for foreign investment.

  • Contributing to the growth and development of the practice. 

The skills and attributes we are looking for

  • PQE 2-4 years of competition law experience in private practice or with a regulator
  • Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity, creative and analytical thinker
  • Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when working across multiple projects.
  • Client service focus and commercial awareness
  • Team player
  • Strong judgment
