Position: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Sydney - MUST be located in Sydney

Industry: Consulting

Responsibilities:

  • Lead business analysis efforts for complex projects, focusing on process mapping, business improvement, and requirements gathering.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of current business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Create comprehensive process maps, workflows, and diagrams to visualize and document current and future states.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with cross-functional teams to elicit requirements, resolve issues, and drive consensus.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and IT solutions.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on analysis to support business decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior analysts, fostering a culture of learning and development within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; CBAP certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst with a focus on process mapping and business process improvement.
  • Proven expertise in utilising business analysis techniques and tools to facilitate workshops, gather requirements, and document processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments, with knowledge of SDLC and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
