The Role

HDR is looking for Senior Hydraulic Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in Sydney.

In the role of Senior Hydraulic Engineer, we’ll count on you to:

  • Utilise your strong technical background in hydraulic engineering to plan, design and execute hydraulic engineering projects.
  • Support project leaders and project directors across a range of projects and disciplines.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and check technical reports, drawings and specifications in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years' relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic engineering principles, codes and standards.
  • Mission Critical Design / Data Centre Design Experience is an added advantage.
  • Successful project management experience in the MEP sector is an added advantage.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years in mechanical system design of commercial or institutional buildings
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
