Our Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of the field. The program emphasises innovation, problem-solving and hands-on experience, preparing graduates for successful careers in various industries.

In addition to this program, VU offers a Master of Engineering, which provides an advanced level of education and research opportunities in engineering disciplines. This master's program focuses on enhancing professional and technical skills, making it an excellent pathway for those looking to further their expertise and career prospects in engineering.

An example of duties you may perform include:

1. Facilitate learning and establish educational and assessment strategies to suit a range of student, client needs, and industry contexts. This includes delivery online, blended, and in diverse settings, including within enterprises and the community.
2. Establish and maintain a positive learning environment and undertake assessment of student performance in accordance with the requirements of the relevant curriculum/training package.
3. Undertake a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught, including recognition of prior learning, enrollments, and submission of results.

You have a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a closely related field. Applicants with relevant industry experience are highly encouraged to apply. Previous teaching experience at the tertiary level gives you an advantage.

You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills; committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. We are seeking dynamic and passionate educators to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education at two levels:

Undergraduate teaching: Circuit Theory, Signal Processing, Control Systems, Power Systems, Digital Systems Design, Communication Systems, Embedded systems, Modulation techniques, Analogue and digital transmission, and Wireless Networks’ infrastructure.

Masters teaching: Renewable Energy Systems, High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Power Distribution, Power System Analysis, Power Quality, Reliability, Harmonics, Overhead, and Underground Power Line Design, Electric Energy Systems Protection and Communication, Insulation Co-ordination and Sub-Station Design Principles, Wireless Networks, Remote sensing, Radiofrequency (RF) engineering, Antennas and Propagation, Microwave and Satellite links, IEEE standards.
