KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for a LEAD PROJECT ENGINEER (SMP) for a significant and long-term project based in South Australia. This role will be FIFO working a 2:1 roster. POH any capital city in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, identify plan deviations, and recommend resolutions for the Engineering Lead
  • Monitor performance and determine improvement areas by developing key performance indicators
  • Maintain current and forecasted Cash Flow data when compared to projected Cash Flow
  • Offer direct financial communication with project team, internal financing department, subcontractors, and Joint Venture owners
  • Ensure financial information accuracy between program-level and subproject reporting
  • Administrate and coordinate routine contract work using prescribed and standardised methods
  • Coordinate with fleet administrative staff to correct income entry and equipment cost errors
  • Enforce actual project data collection and weekly accurate estimates
  • Recommend corrective actions to handle project compliance
  • Plan for high-risk project strategic initiatives and ensure correct duration estimated tasks
  • Delegate to relevant members of the KAEFER Management Team the responsibility to maintain compliance with the Contract Award and associated Management Plans
  • Establishing a management review mechanism within the Management Team to regularly review, update and improve the effectiveness of the Contract Award
  • Reviewing performance against objectives / KPIs and reporting on them

About You

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer in a lead role, ideally having worked for a Contractor in mining, oil & gas or heavy industry in construction 
  • You resume will clearly outline your experience working in the construction industry (preferably mining), within a QA system (Procore/Aconex). 
  • Bachelor Mechanical Degree (or relevant) OR 15yrs+ experience in a lead role in lieu of Degree (will be considered). A Cert IV in Project Management will be highly regarded
  • Strong organisational ability with time management, attention to detail and problem solving capabilities
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team. 
  • A proactive and results oriented mindset, able to prioritize tasks effectively
